Do you have the weight loss support you need to propel you to success?

Chances are if you can’t sustain your health and body goals it’s because you’re trying to go it alone, or you’ve surrounded yourself with people who don’t support you.

Who are you hanging out with? Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”

Are you surrounded by family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers who hate their bodies, are constantly talking about dieting, or who are always judging others about their weight?

Find Your Tribe

Whether you need weight loss support or a helping hand just living life, finding a tribe of loving, compassionate, non-judging, like-minded people will catapult you to success like nothing else.

I was amazed at how fast things started turning around for me when I found my tribe. I joined an online women’s health group and being around these amazing, positive, supportive women was profoundly influential in helping me overcome a lifetime of food and diet issues.

These women were (and still are) my inspiration and my safe place to land. I can be 100% open and honest with these women and feel totally loved without fear of judgment. They help me learn the lessons from my challenges, and they inspire me to move out of my comfort zone and strive for so much more than I could ever attain on my own.

And the irony is that we rarely talk about food, diets, calories, or exercise. We provide more of an emotional and spiritual support for each other. Sure we need support when losing weight, but life is so much more than how much we weigh. And we want the best people to be there for the ups, downs, and sideways of life.

Your tribe will help you:

  • Connect with others in an intimate way, which changes how you are in the world
  • Provide priceless love and support in good and bad times
  • Feel enveloped in safety
  • Be comfortable sharing your authentic self
  • Find connection and support without judgment

 

Having great support in your life is so important and is one of the fundamental ways to be happy. Support from others can reduce stress, improve self-worth and most important, help you have fun and feel good.

  • Imagine having fun with your friends instead of complaining about thigh gap and calories.
  • Picture yourself with friends who support you and love you no matter what size you are.
  • Envision having fascinating conversations that don’t revolve around diets or cellulite.
  • See yourself laughing like crazy with people you enjoy being with.
  • Fancy yourself learning, growing, and reaching for big goals knowing your tribe has your back at every step of the way.

 

There are so many inspirational roles models so when you get to those Facebook pages, online communities, clubs, or even the water cooler at work where people are constantly negative and complaining – RUN.

Try to weed out the people in your life who want you to be as miserable as they are and feel threatened if you’re successful and moving on without them.

Sometimes it’s not possible to separate entirely from the people who are negative or unsupportive, particularly if they’re your family. But you can look outside your reach to find your tribe.

Life Takes Courage

Being in a supportive tribe gives you the courage to overcome the hard times, take the risks that lead to opportunity, hold your hand when things don’t work out, and celebrate with you when they do.

It’s so much easier to get out of your safe little world and explore a bolder bigger life if you know that your risk-taking efforts will always have a safety net of loving support.

But make sure you give support to others as well. Pay it forward whenever you can. When you see someone struggling; lend a hand. Be a mentor, celebrate the successes of others, or just lend an ear.

 

Be Brave, Get Support, Give Support, and Spread happiness.

One of the best things you can do for yourself to improve your self-esteem and increase your personal happiness is to seek out positive and inspirational support. Unfortunately we sometimes have to look outside our own circle of family and friends for that care. Research ways you can get that support. In addition, brainstorm ways you can support others.
